In eternity past, all angelic beings lived in loving harmony with the Godhead (God the Father; the Son of God; and the Holy Spirit of God); in accord with eternal principles of infinite selfless love; conditional immortality, and access to the tree of eternal life.
Originating in heaven, shortly after the beginning of time; and creation of mankind; the intrusion of sin and evil also spread to earth, (Genesis chapters 3 to 5).
Sin is transgression of Gods eternal laws of infinite selfless love; that sustain perfect dynamics, and relations of eternal existence in the Eternal Kingdom. (1st John 3:4).
Due to selfish disobedience, sin and evil; mankind lost their conditional immortality; the tree of life was taken away; and temporal life in time begun; under the rulership of Lucifer, the devil; and father of death. (Genesis chapter 5; and Hebrews 2:14).
However, the devils satanic rule of sin and death was broken some 2000 years ago.
At this divinely prophesied and appointed time; the Godhead fulfilled their promise, given some 4000 years before in Genesis 3:15; to free mankind of the devil satanic shackles; sin; and death.
Thus, through the Holy Spirit of God; the Son of God was born as the Son of Man, to die and free the world from their bondage to sin, death; and eternal extinction.
This is how Christ Jesus defined eternal life, days before dying on the cross.
“Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You”.
“As You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him”.
“And thisis eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent”.
“I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do”. (John 17:1-3).
Thus, the power, glory, and truth of eternal life is; to know the only true God, and God sent Jesus Christ, to glorify His Father God, by His sinless life, and voluntary dying; to defeat the devil’s power of sin and death.
“For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. (Romans 6:23).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
