As there are no verses in the original Hebrew manuscripts, the translated text of Genesis chapter 1, verses 1 to 3; would read as follows.
”In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light”.
By presenting verses 1 to 3 as one paragraph, doesn’t change its content (it remains the same).
Yet such presentation draws greater focus on what was created in the beginning.
- A beginning when God created the heaven (singular) and the earth (singular).
- The earth was already there; a formless and void place, with darkness upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God moving upon the face of waters.
- Divine creating began with the words; “let there be light: and there was light.
How could a place called the earth be there; before the creation of the earth actually began? As it was created on day 3.
So, could Genesis 1:1 refer to a specific beginning, when God created time with its own planetary system; parallel with; but separate from eternity; and already created universe, and its angelic hosts? In the beginning before any and all other beginnings. (John 1:1 to 4).
More so, the already existing place called earth, could have been created in that beginning; as a divine contingency, prepared in accord with the Divine plan of Salvation, “before the world begun”? (2nd Timothy 1:9; and; 1st Peter 1:19 and 20).
So in Genesis 1, verses 4 and 5; we find other relevant pointers reading as follows.
“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day”.
Significantly, once God established the night-day cycle on day 1; from then on, the night-day cycle continues as a numbering system for the days that follow.
Thus, could Genesis1:1 actually refer to the beginning of time; as on day 4 God creates a planetary system with a solar time clock; to regulate future weeks, months, years, and seasons?
If so, what is the Devine plan of Salvation? Does it include a divinely appointed time for the beginning, and the end; of life on planet earth? Why?
